I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sarah and her staff at Birkdale Animal Hospital. I just found out my little sweet Lulu has cancer, and they have been amazing. Lulu has been so well taken care of and Dr. Sarah has been the absolute best to work with. She offered multiple treatment options and helped me decide how to move forward. We opted for surgery to remove the tumors on her leg to bide her some more time, but unfortunately, the cancer has already metastisized into her lungs. I have chosen to not put her through chemo and radiation on her leg due to her age and the toxicity of those treatments. Dr. Sarah respected my choice and has also allowed me to offer up and try an alternative approach for her lungs once the tumors are removed.

Surgery was a couple of weeks ago and fortunately, she was able to remove all four tumors with clean edges, so it is best case scenario for those. I'm so grateful for Dr. Sarah and the staff at Birkdale and would recommend them to anyone. They are professional and knowledgeable, as well as compassionate and caring. Having senior pets, one of the best feelings is knowing they are in the most caring of hands when going to the vet. I cannot praise Dr. Mark, Dr. Sarah and their staff enough. When I bring in my furry family members, I have complete confidence in the care they will receive. I lost one of my babies this year and the kindness and support I received from Dr. Sarah truly helped me get through that devastating experience. I recently met Dr. Mark and he is knowledgeable, friendly and so caring. I took my little senior kitty for dental work today and although any procedure brings anxiety, it is so comforting knowing how well she will be treated. I highly recommend Birkdale Animal Hospital. I now have a second mini dachshund who is still a puppy and this is my third vet between my two dogs; let me tell you, this practice and Dr. Strong are *beyond* incredible. From the moment you walk in the door, everyone is so genuinely happy to see you, you can feel the love they have for your pups (they know their names as soon as you walk in), and Dr. Strong is the best Dr. I’ve ever encountered. He is *so* kind, and patient, and willing to sit and talk with you to answer any questions you have. He never makes me feel rushed, or like I’m bothering him, he ensures I don’t have any more concerns or questions, and even remembers conversations we had from previous visits. My pups love him and the staff; they walk right up to him wagging their tails! The experiences I’ve had here have sold me to never leave! I HIGHLY recommend them and Dr. Strong. And their prices are so reasonable; Dr. Strong will make sure you aren’t getting anything you don’t need, too. (Unlike other experiences I’ve had elsewhere!) Take your pets here! Couldn't be happier with the care we received. My cat has been coughing daily and we got X-rays, didn't look like asthma. We came to Birkdale for a second opinion and from a much more experienced vet. he does in fact have asthma. The treatment was simple (steroid shot) and my boy finally has relief and can breathe normally again. The vet gave me his email for any concerns that come up.

I can't imagine going anywhere else for the care of my pets. We recently had to put my 12 1/2 year old buddy to sleep. Dr. Mark is by far the most clinically talented, caring, compassionate vet I have ever met.
